Ralph received his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and Chemistry from Eindhoven University of Technology in 2023, after finishing his bachelor thesis titled ‘The Effect of Surface Energy on Perovskite Quasi-Fermi Level Splitting’ in the M2N group. Upon graduation, he was awarded the High Potential Bachelor Scholarship from the Amandus H. Lundqvist Scholarship Program to pursue further studies in Eindhoven.
He then began a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, specializing in Molecular Systems and Materials Chemistry. For his master thesis, Ralph returned to the M2N group and completed a thesis titled ‘Ions on the Move: Measuring Mobile Ions in Metal-Halide Perovskite Solar Cells’, which received the highest possible grade. He also undertook an industrial internship at FLUXiM AG in Winterthur, Switzerland, where he investigated reverse bias stressing of perovskite solar cells. Ralph graduated cum laude in 2025.
In addition, Ralph earned an extracurricular certificate degree in Technology Entrepreneurship and Management from the Department of Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences.
Currently, Ralph is a PhD candidate in the M2N group, focusing on the device physics of perovskite solar cells, with particular attention to mobile ions.
